~ Wedding Cake Tasting Box~

I like to do my cake tastings a little different than other bakers in the area.  I do charge for this service ($35).  If you do end up ordering your cake from me, I apply the money ($35) toward your wedding cake.  If you book another baker, then the money paid me for my time/ingredients getting the box ready for you.  It's worked out well and both the brides and their families have enjoyed how this is done.

I've found that if you take the samples home and get to enjoy them with friends and family, that the decision is much easier.  We will arrange a date (I like to do several tasting boxes at one time to make it easier on me) and you can pick it up, take it home, share it with your family and friends and come up with an awesome cake for your wedding.

Your tasting box will include 4 flavors of cake, 2-3 filling flavors and 2-3 icings.  You can mix and match them all to find what you're looking for.  I normally just make extra icings, fillings and cakes from what I have scheduled to bake the week of your tasting, so box flavors are different for each tasting.  That being said... requests are also welcome.  If you have a certain flavor you think you want for your wedding cake, please don't be afraid to request it in your tasting box. Not all requests can be honored.  It will depend on how many tasting boxes I am preparing that week (I've done over 22 for the same date) and doing a request from every couple would be impossible.  Thanks for understanding!

Other Wedding Information:
Sometimes I meet with Brides & Grooms and they are interested in more than just their wedding cake. Sometimes the family needs cookies for their cookie table, a rehearsal dinner cake or two or even a Groom's cake for the wedding day. Feel free to ask!

Special "Wedding Cakes"

This small 6" mini-wedding cake was made to match the larger Wedding cake.  It was for a little girl with a nut allergy.  The bride wanted a peanut butter cream in her wedding cake but wanted to make sure her friend's child got to enjoy cake too that day, so she had me make a special "peanut free" cake for her.  I was told she was ecstatic she had her own cake at the wedding!
