General Information

A bit about how I do things regarding weddings... My 2026 wedding calendar is currently FULLY BOOKED. No longer taking wedding booking for this calendar year. I set a limit and I hit my quota. Thank you!

A bit about me and my wedding cake journey.  When I first became licensed through the PA Dept of Agriculture back in 2010, I stayed away from wedding cakes.  They frightened me.  My skill level was just not good enough to be the centerpiece of such an important event --- like a wedding!  I turned every wedding order away.

After a few years of only doing birthday cakes and simple orders, I was asked by a very good friend if I would do a cake for her sister.  Knowing the family - and knowing the bride pretty well through her sister - I knew they wouldn't hate me if something went wrong.  I told her I would do it.  Funny to say, I don't have any photos of that first cake.  I'm pretty certain I took pictures, but I have not been able to find any.  Back then, my cell phone didn't have a fancy camera.  I may have still had a film camera back then (can't recall) or if I did have a digital camera,  hard to tell where those pictures were stored.  I have had many laptops since then.

But I do know it was rough... that very first wedding cake was not perfect.  *BUT* I was happy with it and I know the couple was happy with it, but I bet if I did find a photo of it I would cringe.

My very first "official" wedding ... for a family that I didn't know... at a "real" venue.... that needed delivered/set up ... was in January of 2011.  And so it began.  I began taking wedding orders but I did set limits of how many I would do in a calendar year because my kids were small.  I still limit my weddings to 10-14 in a calendar year to this day.  I love wedding cakes but don't want to be setting one (or two) up every Saturday afternoon.
